The African Historical Society

AHS

“At its core the mission of the African Historical Society is to support the restoration, study, and responsible presentation of African history across ancient, “medieval,” and contemporary periods. AHS creates safe spaces for scholars to do critical work towards the reconstruction of African history. We also promote Diaspora Studies in Africa, as we preserve and promote ancient and contemporary African languages. It is time for the object of study to become the subject. This is an intergenerational initiative and an opportunity for reconciliation between the West, Near East and Africa.”
Dr. (Tsgye) Rachel T. Leslie, DMIN, MA, Semitic and Egyptian Languages and Literatures Director, The African Historical Society

“Dr. Leslie is eminently qualified to undertake this mission of Retrieval, an unending commitment to the domain of knowledge”.
